Note: This blog site is meant to help others get to know about our mission through my eyes and mission journey experiences, since I am the author and creator of its content. It is also intended to help others to open their eyes, and hearts to hopefully feel compelled as I have to support an international mission village and eventually many more villages in Uganda E. Africa. It is an invitation to all who love God and humanity and want to help others to become self-reliant.
It is also about love from God and relationships! So please know, that I am not a professional writer, pastor or expert in theology, I am just who I am: a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, friend, lay person and by profession a Realtor, Associate Broker.
I have only responded to an opportunity given to me by God to help others and by a rare chance meeting , which, has developed into a partnership and mission of hope for many in a village called Nyakishenyi. I have been inspired by the people of the village of Nyakishenyi and now by the work God has allowed us to do together!
In God who we love and trust,
Judy

Making God Smile
The Mission has been partnering with the village of Nyakishenyi since 2007, to help uplift the standards of living for its people.
“This is a “people’s project” aimed at holistic development for the people of Nyakishenyi, a remote and poor community. It is a project initiated by the people of Nyakishenyi.
The Geographical Location of Nyakishenyi: It is in Rukungiri district, South Western Uganda. It is 50 miles away from Kabale, and 7 hours drive from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. It is 13 Kilometers off Kabale Rukungiri main road.
The mission that started with a visit by two parishioners of the Church of the Transfigurationin located in Braddock Heights, Maryland, April 2007, has enabled continued dialogue through the visiting mission partners and their hosting family from Kabale Uganda, E. Africa, along with the people of Nyakishenyi village.
The first visit to Nyakishenyi began the dialogue with the people and established a relationship. The mission partners were hosted by the Rev. Canon Jovahn and Mrs. Turyamureeba.
The Turyamureebas’ have remained friends for over a decade with C.O.T.T.’s former Rector the Rev. Henry Sabetti, whom established a friendship with the couple while Sabetti and Turyamureeba attended the Virginia Theological Seminary.
